For the education topic this month, Carl brewed up a big batch and split it four ways. How much difference can cold-side fermentation really have? Come find out!

Congratulations to everyone who took part in Sour Times 2025; there were so many great entries, as always! We are thrilled to be able to keep running this competition.
Also a huge thanks to the judges, stewards, and staff for putting in many hours of work to make judging day move so smoothly.

June is a busy month:
All this and next month is the Summer Party! See it all on the calendar!
Everyone is welcome to meet up with the club at any events. Swing by and say hello before becoming a member. Cheers!
Following our recurring Explore-A-Style series, the education topic this month will be looking at Kolsch to see what makes it special and oh-so-drinkable.
Everyone is welcome to join a meeting, member or not, so come by and maybe learn a thing or two to prepare to make some beers to have on the patio this summer. Cheers!
ESNS, Northeast Mpls, Thu May 13 7-9pm
So many notes today!
So much going on and YOU are welcome to join any or all of it! Cheers!
How do historical styles of beer differ from modern recipes? Was there a Pre-Prohibition double whole-cone hazy OLD England IPA? Meet up next week at East Side Neighborhood Services to talk about recent and upcoming club events, club business, and this great education topic!

This month we are getting back outside: a recent bierstacheln (beer poking) hang-out and this coming weekend is a big brew on the club system to go into the Solera barrel. Keep an eye out for a transfer and bottling day in May.
Members share their brew days and outside hangs in the club email or the club Discord chat for topics like #brewday, #currently-drinking, or taproom tours in #3p-pedal-pint-pedal.
Cheers!
How does fermenting under pressure affect beer? What does it mean to “closed transfer”? These topics will be explored at the monthly meeting next week as the education topic. Come by and find out if you can do that with your existing equipment and what you can do with your brew days.
East Side Neighborhood Services, Northeast Minneapolis.
Thu Mar 20, 7-9pm. Everyone is welcome!
Today we are going to Unmapped. Next week Falling Knife. Later this month talking about brewing sake. This is another eventful month for the club, so come join when you are able and meet up with the club. Brewers of all levels are welcome to chat about and share beer, mead, cider, wine, and knowledge!
The photo this month is from the February Taproom Takeover social hour at Wandering Leaf in Saint Paul. There was a great turnout — and great beer. We get together each month at breweries rotating around the area to just hang out and chat over a pint or two. This is a great opportunity for folks to get to know the club. Stop by any time!
