The Nordeast Brewers Alliance is a very active club with several events most months. Hopefully, you will be able to join us for some or all! Everyone is welcome to join any meetings and events before becoming a member. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions, otherwise feel free to stop by and introduce yourself. We want to meet you!
In addition to the calendar below, we post to Facebook, Instagram, and Bluesky with monthly schedules and regular reminders on where we will be and what we are doing.

Monthly
Taproom Takeover – Every first Thursday of each month we have scheduled social hours at rotating breweries. This is a great chance to talk about the club and brewing or meet some members. The location rotates every month around the metro, so check out the calendar below to find the next spot.
Monthly Meeting – On the third Thursday of each month from 7:00-9:00 PM at East Side Neighborhood Services in Northeast Minneapolis we meet for our monthly meeting. We cover some club business — recent and upcoming events, group buys, barrel program status, etc. — and dedicate time to an education or experiment topic. We share homebrew during these meetings (beer, cider, mead, wine; anything homebrewed!), so feel free to bring some to share, but know there is always enough if you do not have anything. Bring some tasting glasses!
Annually
Member Parties – Every year we hold two parties:
ðŸŒa Summer party in July with low-gravity informal competition (<5% ABV), swap meet garage sale, and grill-out with potluck food
🥣a Winter party in January with a high-gravity informal competition (>8% ABV, brewed in the past year), officer elections, chili cook-off, and potluck food
Brew For Good – Being a part of a community is core to our values, when Josh from Brew For Good came to us in early 2018 we were excited to be part of this young event. This event has grown into a massively successful event and includes many of the local homebrew clubs. Every penny of income goes directly to East Side Neighborhood Services as the benefactor of this event — plus awards for the People’s Choice winners across the clubs.
Homebrew Competitions – Every December we put on our AHA/BJCP sanctioned homebrew competition. We have a really talented pool of BJCP judges in the Twin Cities area that come out to help us judge each year.
One-Off
Club members get together for social events regularly, including
- Group brew days — brewing for a club barrel, a big batch to share, or a special ingredient or process, folks use their personal systems or the club 30-gallon brewhouse
- Winter curling, indoor disc golf, and darts — putting together teams at local breweries, club members have put in the effort toward winning the tournaments
- Summer cycling and disc golf — either meeting up for formal group bike rides, getting together with a couple folks to bike between taprooms, or putting together an impromptu disc golf (or regular golf!) game, events usually end up finishing with a drink at a local establishment
